After Sunday

After Sunday! After Sunday! After Sunday!

“Remember Your Name!” No More Compromising! These are two things that I was able to grab from the sermon. YES! Of course, “Remember your name,” was the title, but for me, it works together! When you lose sight of who you are and who you belong to, there’s a great chance that you will begin to compromise! You succumb to a lower standard than what you were required to submit and stand firm in.

From Daniel 1, Elder Tralena brought out the names of Daniel and the 3 Hebrew Brothers! Their given name had Gods Blessings lathered all on it, but the minute they came under rule of Nebuchadnezzar, their God given names were changed! They were changed to names that didn’t represent their true identity. Often times the same becomes true of us. God has placed the fullness of Him on the inside of us, but because of culture, the world, and our environment, pieces of us are taken apart with the expectation that we will become what we’ve experienced. The expectation of being what our environment says we are, becomes part of our esteem.

Daniel proved that He was different! He made up in his mind that He was not going to compromise  to denounce God. (Daniel 1:8) Daniel was determined to stand firm in Christ, DESPITE what the obstacles show!

I had to take some time to seek God on how I’ve compromised my walk with Him! I had to seek God on how I’ve compromised my life and allowed the ways of the world and darkness consume so much of me! I had to see what areas I had decided to chose to live a standard that wasn’t in alignment to the ways and will of God. I had to do some true evaluation after service and I must say, it felt good! We’re never too good to have God check out hearts. We may say I’m not having premarital sex and fornicating, I’m not getting high/intoxicated, I’m not cursing people out, I’m not lying and stealing…

BUT…

When you walk in disobedience to God, isn’t that compromising?

When you fail to press into God, but spend hours on social media, isn’t that compromising?

When God has given you an assignment, a mandate, but you opt out due to fear, isn’t that compromising?

God has set a standard for us to live, but how are we going forth in meeting the standard?

Our posture to God is in how we respond when we’re faced with opposition! Who will we choose? What will we choose?

We have to make up in our mind that it’s God or nothing! We have to remember our name! We have to remove what God has said about us!

✨Daniel had a NO MATTER WHAT posture! I don’t care what you say, I’m sticking with God! God is going to see me through!! He had that attitude and it showed in the way God showed up for him!✨

Daniel was Bold! He knew what was expected of him by the King and what was established during that time and place, BUT he didn’t let that stop him from seeking the face of HIS FATHER! He opened them windows for them all to see! I mean HEY, the world is loud, bold and wrong in their press, so why not be LOUD, BOLD and CONFIDENT in the RIGHT ONE!

We try to fit in with the world and not allowing our light to shine! The world will do every thing to pull us in and have us to compromise! Why aren’t we doing everything we can to pull the world into GOD!

Your uncompromising posture, not only triggers you for more of God, but it helps bring others to deliverance!

Let’s get in alignment NOW and refuse to compromise! We can’t keep allowing what the world deems as acceptable, be acceptable to those of us who call ourselves BELIEVERS OF GOD!

Let’s remember our NAME! Let’s remember who GOD is! Seek the scriptures for yourself to see what God has called you and named you! Share with us, how you’re now able to see yourself in view of Gods view of YOU!

I love you all!

Remember Your Name!! I think it was good how you pulled out other ways that weren't mentioned in the sermon that we sometimes compromise. The opportunity presents everyday. Hopefully now we will find ourselves convicted in those moments and choose to be bold for God!
