WHAT YOU SEEKING?
What You Seeking?
I’ve been blogging for a few years now and each time, I know for a fact that God gets me in check FIRST! He makes me FACE myself before I can even begin to place words on the paper! This moment of writing is no different! A few weeks ago, I shared with the women during our prayer call that we have to be about God or Nothing! Ain’t no in between! We can’t keep giving God just some sloppy seconds or them nasty leftovers! (I HATE LEFTOVERS😂) Anyway, God gives us ALL of Him and WE ARE NOT WORTHY! 😬🥴🤷🏾♀️ He gives us HIS BEST and we give Him pieces of ourselves that everything and everyone has picked over! The AUDACITY! It’s like a child drinking from your cup with a mouth full of food and afterwards leave all their food floating around and expecting you to drink it! Naw Shawty you can keep that! I don’t have use for that drink anymore! And YET, we expect God to indulge us after pieces of everybody else has flooded our lives! WHEW JESUS!
Days later, after what I felt God having me to share, I was smacked with the TRUTH of my own life! We give out time and attention to everything but the MAIN THING…JESUS! Then when life hits we look into our spiritual arsenal to pull something out and there AINT (yep I said Ain’t)… There ain’t nothing there! You haven’t stored anything up! You haven’t feasted with Jesus! You haven’t consecrated self before Jesus! You ain’t spoke to Jesus! You haven’t given God nothing that HE DESERVES! Giving Him small portions and the portion you have given Him gets turned off cause it’s the end of the day and now it’s time for bed! Lights Out! That’s not even bare minimum! 😬😯 Whew! He’s a big God, Consuming Fire! And we treat Him like He’s not the RIGHTEOUS KING!
💫We know the characters from our favorite show, but don’t even have a glimpse of the ESSENCE and CHARACTER OF JESUS CHRIST!!!!!! 💫
He’s supposed to be the main character of your life!
I digress because trust when I say that WORD hit me FIRST!
We have to know and understand that we must seek God First! We’re depleted and operating from our flesh because we’ve placed God on the back burner! (Yeah the one that never gets any use when you’re cooking. Yep that back burner!) How can God minister and speak to us, if we fail to give Him any time to do so! He’s on our time table! I’ll fit Him in once I make my work schedule! I’ll fit Him in after I see what time my show coming on! Yeah Okay! Mess around and He really go silent, then what you gone do! 🤷🏾♀️
Seeking God is more than waking up and giving Him a, “Thank You Jesus!” And then scrolling the Bible app looking at the daily scripture! Naw! Nope! It’s much more! It’s making God our TOP PRIORITY in everything! Every decision! Every need take it to God! That man/woman you want to date, you better seek God First! Mess around and end up dating and Marrying Satans Seed and wondering how you missed all the red flags! Because you never sought God! Your friends opinion of them was better! The blind leading the blind! SMH! Seek God!
We make decisions without Christ and blame God and the devil! No Ma’am! No Sir! That’s all YOU! Posting on social media all of your problems! Seeking prayer from folks who don’t have a clue of how to tap into Christ on a spiritual level for you. Your life in chaos because you decided you were going to SEEK FIRST the kingdom of Social Media!
There isn’t much more excuses that we can give God on why we aren’t seeking Him! God asked me what my excuse was for my reasoning of not giving HIM…MORE!! OUCH! Whew! Why are you scrolling social media and being enticed by the lives of others, when He has given me an assignment to fulfill?? 😬🤦🏾♀️ I was giving Tik Tok and social media more of my time as if they are the ones who called me and gave me an assignment to fulfill!
God simply told me: “YALONDA…DO BETTER! Stop trying to incorporate the worlds ways of doing things into the way of which I’ve told you to do things! Seek Me Above All Else!”
Our own worldly wisdom and knowledge can never sustain us! Seeking God for wisdom and knowledge (His way) is the only way to receive the peace, strength and direction for our lives!

💫What things outside of God have you been seeking so that you can “understand” the guidance and plans of God? •How is that spiritually working out for you? 🤷🏾♀️
💫 What major decision or situation is upon you, but you’ve sought everything else besides God? •Are you ready to submit it to God and wait for Him to respond?
💫 Repent, seek forgiveness, and make the necessary Changes to get back in right standing with God and begin to seek Him first!
