WHERE ARE YOU GOING? PART ONE

Where Are You Going? Part One

Another Friday has Graced us and we’re beyond grateful! Since Last Friday a few words that the Women’s Ministry Director spoke has lingered within me! 💢THIS ISN’T JUST A MESSAGE FOR US WOMEN, SO GUYS KEEP READING! LOL!💢 Anyhoo, at our event last Friday it was pouring down! Seeing that parts of Oregon District was shut down, many of us had parked a distance away from the restaurant. As it rained many of us had started to get a little flustered because it was thundering and lightning as well! It would slow down and as soon as we would get ready to go it would start pouring down again! Our Women’s Ministry Director made the comment, “God could be keeping us from something so look at it from His perspective.” Those may not have been the exact words, but it was in the ballpark.

Most of us still weren’t trying to hear that, 🤦🏾‍♀️ we were ready to go! I had to pray that stubborn spirit right on out of ME! 🤷🏾‍♀️😂 On the drive home, God had to get me together! See I was one of the ones in a rush to get home and out of the rain. I ran in the rain and thunder to get in my car. As soon as I got in my car I couldn’t see a thing. I was sitting there aggravated when I could have stayed on the inside with everyone else and enjoyed the time with them.

Too many times we miss the opportunities that God has placed right in our paths. We look at the circumstances surrounding us and allow fear to hinder us from fully enjoying the moment at hand.

While in my car, I had to deal with the words of, “Nowwww where do you think you’re going?” 😂🤦🏾‍♀️ It’s funny now because I can imagine God saying that in the most gentle, YET sarcastic tone. If you’ve had conversations with God, then you know He is hilarious! 😂 Where do you think some of us get our sense of humor from? Lol!

Through our leader, that day, myself and others were given the message of looking at things from God’s Perspective and realizing that there could have been something He was keeping us from or even bringing us into. Although I got home safely, it was a rather scary drive and it took longer than normal because the view before me was very blurred as a result of the rain. I missed the opportunity to bond even more with the women that had chose to stay and wait the rain out.

God doesn’t think like us! His ways are not like our ways, so of course He’s going to see things totally different from us! Well we are more than likely seeing things differently from Him when our eyes are focused on the situation and not on Him! Even a minor situation as this is evidence that it’s important to be in tune with God at all times so that we wont miss what He’s trying to speak to us in that moment.

This coming week, try to see things from God’s view and see how much peace you have in the midst of whatever is trying to get you frazzled.

You couldn't be more right and God couldn't have been more on time with this message to me. I literally JUST hung up the phone with a friend and we were talking about how chaotic our lives are and how we need to slow down enough to figure out what direction to take next. I attended Chosen for the second time this past Sunday and I feel the spirit so strongly amongst this congregation! I definitely feel led to be an active member of this church.
