October (12 Days of CHOSEN)
It’s an OCTOBER Takeover! 💪🏾💛🖤🎉🎉🎉 We celebrated a TON of PARTNERS in October! Who would have thought that we have like 6/7 people on OCTOBER 14?? Like Sheesh! Not only that OUR PASTOR was the first to hold the baton and get it started on OCTOBER 1! I say we have a huge party in October! One and Done! 😂
We were BLESSED by some amazing sermons this month! The MEN came all the way through! 💪🏾🖤💛
Elder Chris! Elder Chris! Elder Chris! We were in GREAT EXPECTATION to receive the WORD from him! He didn’t disappoint at all We see him leading Bible Studies, but the Sunday he PREACHED! Man Oh Man! He came from John 4:1-10! The GIFT OF GOD!!! Let me tell you about these points that he MADE!
✨We have internal problems and trying to cover it up with external solutions!”✨
Whew Jesus! That speaks volumes! It definitely speaks for itself without anymore moments to bring up! But it’s the TRUTH! We try to find any and everything to fill the voids in our lives when God is saying, I GOT WHAT YOU NEED! We continue to be depleted and never hydrated because we aren’t thrusting off the one who holds Eternal Life for us! We blame the enemy or say God is testing me, BUT is He? Is the enemy to blame? Or is it just that your flesh wants what it wants you refuse to satisfy your spirit over your flesh! Whew! The sex, drugs, Binge eating, the people, the negative conversations! They are all, plus more of the external solutions we try to give when it’s an internal war going on!

We have to let God transform us from the inside out! If we could see in the spirit how we really look when we THINK our outside is Dripping with Beauty, but are able to see the stank fumes escaping our pores! We may look good on outside but the minute we open our mouth and speak, the depths of what’s inside will surely flow out!
This is how we LOOK! SMH! Remember what’s on the inside will eventually come out! JESUS!

✨No way you can stay in a relationship with Jesus and still stay dirty ✨
MY GOD!!!!!!! Hear me out; Yes it’s a process! Yes transformation may not happen overnight for a great deal of us, but it’s the heart that God sees! As your relationship develops, things begin to change and shift for you! You won’t look the same! You won’t think the same! The desire for the world will begin to shift to more desire of God and the Spirit! We are but filthy rags, BUT Jesus came to set us free! His Word (2 Corinthians 5:17) says that those who belong to Christ is now a new creation! Old things have passed away, BEHOLD, NEW THINGS have come! It’s impossible to stay the same when you’re authentically souled out for Christ! We have to be about God and only God! Psalms 16:5,6 says, “My CHOICE is YOU, GOD; First and Only! Then it goes on to say and I find that I’m your CHOICE!

Yesssssss WE ARE CHOSEN! 🙌🏾😭🩵🦋 Joint Heirs! As we ABIDE and DWELL in God, He ABIDES and DWELL in US! God keeps HIS WORD, but can we keep ours? How can you abide and dwell more in God as we step into 2024?
Aye! But Check out this Bible study recap though, from Pastor Craig! It fell right in line with the Sermon! He said if you’re not growing then it’s evident you’re not consistent with CHRIST! Whew Jesus! I just felt that because Lord forgive me for not being consistent with you! Intentional and consistent; that brings us into a level of pure worship and intimacy with Christ! How are we functioning if we aren’t giving God what’s due to Him! How are we bringing others to Christ if we don’t know God for ourselves through HIS WORD! if we’re distant from God then we are Distant from the WORD! They are ONE! God is His Word! The consistency and intimacy with God will surely allow what’s inside of us to be exposed! Let God expose the inner you so that you can walking in the HEALING and DELIVERANCE He has already made provision for! 🦋💛 exposure isn’t always bad, when it comes to Kingdom! Exposure helps you to see you up close and personal!
✨“I’m starting with the man in the mirror! Asking Him to Change His Ways! I’m going to make a change for once in my life!”✨
I know the words aren’t in order, but you get the picture! What you see when you look in the mirror and can see yourself? What needs changing? How can you develop more in Christ?
Yawl remember Cave Dwellers! Let’s just say, that message took me out! I was no good after service, just send me home so I can process and get my life together! That message was intense. Even more intense because I had stepped into a cave season and wasn’t expecting it to hit that hard! This entire series had me rolling my eyes and all! Yawl I was not okay! God was all up in my mess!
The question was posed, what’s coming out of you? Yikes! It’s a theme here with these messages, now! Thank you Jesus! Scripture reference came from 1 Samuel 22: 1! There was a lot of fear moments to pull out of this sermon series!
✨ Are you prepared for the Season to Change?
✨ Are you letting fear consume you?
✨ Has fear caused you to forget WHO, God is?
✨ What has you running for your life?
The cave was not punishment for David! It also wasn’t a hiding place. It was a place of preparation! There are times when we just need to hush and be quiet! We talk too much! A lot of words, but saying, NOTHING! SMH!
The cave was a place of Restoration! The issue is when God has is hidden a lot of times, we’re just trying to see what everyone else is saying and doing! We are afraid we are going to miss something if we don’t got the newest tea! If we don’t got all the details! Just messy! SMH! We’re confused because we not minding the business that God gave us! God does not operate in chaos or confusion! So when you feel your life choices, conversations and ways are different from God, then it’s time for realignment! It will do us all some good to retreat back to the cave for God to get us in alignment! We want to be apart so bad that we miss God!
Last point from Cave Dwellers is that just like David, God never took HIS HANDS off of us even when we’ve taken our life out of His Hands! Jesus! Our Pastor said that! Just think of what all God has awaiting you and prepared for you when you get in alignment! I often go back to being 22 and having to have radiation Treatments for thyroid cancer and God brought me out of that! I was NOT saved and I surely wasn’t trying to live right! So NOW when things hit, I can go back and know that if HE KEPT me then, OH JESUS, He will keep me NOW! Why? Because there isn’t anything that Jesus won’t do for the righteous and His Children! My heart is to please and honor God, so if He did it then, HE WILL do it AGAIN! He’s an ENCORE GOD!

Drum Roll Please!!! 🥁🪘 Elder De’Aris came with the OIL on Youth Sunday! His title, “It’s Not Just You,” had over 100 teens on the ALTAR! There was so much healing and comfort in his message!

This can even be a WORD for NOW! This journey is new for so many of you and it’s a comfort to know that God has sent in reinforcements and you’re not in this alone! It reminds me of Hagar and how The Angel Of the Lord had to let her know that He sees her! He’s El Roi! When you feel that you have nobody! When you feel everyone has turned their backs on you, the Word says look to the HILLS; that’s where my help comes from! Good Lord! 🙌🏾😭

Our response to God in the time of testing, will determine the level at which we are ready to be made WHOLE! God doesn’t identify us based on what we’ve done or been through! He has given us a new name! He doesn’t identify us based on what we go through! People do and we do!
Aye yawl! Peep this! He said, HOW CAN YOU HAVE A RESPONSE WHEN YOU DON’T EVEN KMOW WHAT JESUS IS SAYING TO YOU!
Glory! Glory! Glory!
It goes back to what I’ve said previously! THE WORD!!! We can’t escape the WORD, Yawl! We go around the WORD! Jump over the WORD! Take a skydive next to the WORD, but we don’t take time to THIRST and HUNGER for the WORD! We feasting on Texas Roadhouse rolls, thinking it’s going to give us the satisfaction that we need! Yeah that bread and cinnamon butter gone hit the spot for the moment! But it’s the WORD OF GOD, that’s going to give us an everlasting FULLNESS!
God holds us accountable to what we know! When we know better we do better! At Chosen, we can’t really say we don’t know! The Word comes alive weekly! Even daily in the groups on the app! The issue isn’t that you haven’t been given the resources or the support, you just choose to keep doing it your way! Let’s keep doing it our way in 2024 and let’s see what’s come of it! NOTHING! Just another year of misery, being depleted and DEHYDRATED! So shift it up this year! Give God all you have! If you need help, we, as leaders are here to help! There’s a pastoral team! There’s elders! There’s Prayer! Women we meet every Tuesday and Thursday on zoom! Bible study is the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays!
So if you’re not growing, are you really taking the necessary steps to grow and flourish???
I’m blessed by this picture! Our Pastor always talks about if you have youth, your church has a future! (He says something like that!😂 Yawl get the picture) Not only do we see the adults thriving, but we also see the children and youth thriving!

Our babies wanted to bless Pastor with some birthday love! They sang loudly too!
There were so many things happening in October, that we just couldn’t fit all into this blog post, but it was a beautiful month! We wore purple and also pink this month to represent Domestic Violence Awareness and Breast Cancer Awareness! We had the Fall Fest and it was a blessing to see the people come out and partners and even those that weren’t partners at the time, to decorate their cars for trunk or treat!
